Established the IDEA Committee (Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity Advisory Committee), which focuses on the needs of our increasingly diverse community.
Passed a local law that prohibits housing discrimination based on source of income.
Re-established Brighton’s Environmental and Beautification Committee to support recycling, and other new and existing work being done by community groups.
Passed a local law that requires disciplinary actions by the Chief of Police to be approved by the Town Board.
Coordinated feedback for the state DOT in regard to improving plans for traffic routing and bike lanes.
Sponsored Community Choice Aggregation, which will enable the Town to procure energy services on behalf of its residents, lowering prices and enabling 100% renewable sourcing.
Passed a local law that requires contractors to have RRP lead certification when applying for building permits where lead may be disturbed, which was recognized with an award at the Annual Meeting of the Coalition to Prevent Lead Poisoning.
